What you need to know. You will work as a Maintenance Engineer - Electrician and will work for our Food Manufacturing client in the Galway area. This is a Permanent position in an expanding food company with an excellent reputation in the market. Your new job. Key duties & responsibilities: Maintain manufacturing equipment and heavy machinery. Ensure repairs and breakdowns are completed on time. Installation of new equipment and machinery is completed safely and accurately. Ensure relevant staff are advised of maintenance issues and breakdowns which effect the production process. Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure downtime is reduced. Liaise with relevant departments to ensure maintenance issues are addressed effectively. Adhere to site policies. Maintain workshop to a high standard. Observing all onsite and legislative rules and regulations. Other duties as outlined by management. What are we looking for? Desirable: Possess relevant Electrical Trade Qualification. Relevant electrical/mechanical cert/degree would be an advantage but not essential. 3-5 years’ experience ideally in the food sector. Strong knowledge of BRC and HAACP standards. Technical minded and hands-on individual. Flexible and able to work shift (days and evenings. Full clean drivers licence.
