FRONT OFFICE MANAGER AND WEDDING PLANNER IN THE MIDLANDS. We have an exciting opportunity for a Front Office Manager with the responsibility of planning Weddings in a beautiful 4* hotel in the midlands. This is a popular hotel all year round for weddings, locals, tours etc. As Front Office Manager, you will be responsible for direct and coordinate the activities of the front desk, reservations and guest services. Prepare monthly reports and budget for front office department. You will also assist the senior management team in liaising with couples and planning their wedding day. The Job: Training and development of all front office staff. Prepare rosters in line with business demands and allocated budget. Manage group bookings on a daily basis by maintaining, monitoring all information to appropriate departments. Maximize room revenue and occupancy by reviewing status daily. Analyse rate variance, monitor credit report and maintain close observation of daily house count. Monitor selling status of house daily. Prepare revenue and occupancy forecasting. Meet with wedding couples to help plan their special day. Upsell package items, day after celebrations and any added extras to maximise revenue from each wedding. Work with senior managers to ensure each wedding is organised successfully and a concise handover given to manager on duty. The Candidate: Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English. Minimum of 1-2 years Front Office Management experience in busy, upmarket hotel. Minimum 1-2 years Wedding/Events Planning experience in busy venue/hotel. Excellent organisation and admin skills. Excellent IT skills. Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
