An exciting opportunity now exists for an Assistant Conferencing and Banqueting Manager. As part of the Hotel Management team you will be responsible foreffectively procactivey managing the day-to-day C&B operations of the hotel whilst ensuring our guests have a positive experience. We work together as a team to ensure that we exceed guest expectations every time.We do this by ensuringthe highest standards of products areonofferand by achieving excellent service standardsat all times. Main Duties: To ensure the highest level of customer care is practised at all times. To carry out all management duties as per the agreed standards. In conjunction with the C&B Manager,oversee the smooth running of all Weddings, Banquets & Functions. To liaise with our Wedding Coordinator to ensure all wedding & event details are implemented as agreed. To earn the respect and confidence of our wedding couples by ensuring their wedding day is everything they could have hoped for, and more. To be responsible for all the day to day queries, complaints or problems that arise in the hotel. To deal with all complaints in a courteous and efficient manner and inform the senior manager. To carry out all management duties as per the agreed standards. To take control and responsibility for Management shifts.at all menu requests are met and timed perfectly. To lead and manage the banqueting team to ensure a seamless service. To assist with the training of employees where necessary. To follow and correct Grievance and Disciplinary procedures. To monitor the hotel functions book and familiarise yourself with all additions and changes. To ensure all back of house areas are clean at all times i.e. back hallways, staff canteen, changing rooms, and staff lifts and services areas. To attend the weekly head’s of department meetings. To ensure that reasonable care is taken for the Health and Safety of yourself, other employees, guests and any other persons on the Hotel premises. To ensure that all storage areas on ground and lower ground levels receive constant attention and must be kept in an acceptable manner at all times. To carry out fire and accident details. To observe all safety rules and procedures. To ensure that no materials or equipment are left in a hazardous state. To report and where possible, take action on incidents of accidents, fire, loss or damage. Qualifications / Experience required to do the job: 1-2years management experience in a senior capacity in a busy hotel. Experience of the Irish Wedding market is essential for this role. Excellent written and spoken levels of English. Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent organisational and communicational skills. Permit to work in the EU. Benefits.
